Louis Bass is a five-story cream city brick warehouse and shop building built in 1891 by the Pabst Brewing Company. The project will convert the long-abandoned warehouse building to multi-family apartments in conjunction with a new building next door that will accommodate parking, a retail component and additional apartments.
Historic tax credits have been procured, assuring the remodeled building will conform to National Park Service standards, while the new addition next door will have its own architectural character, yet be sympathetic to the existing building.
