Atonement Lutheran Church desired to celebrate their worship service in the great outdoors during summer months and sought to create an inviting and contemplative open-air environment.
In addition to the Outdoor Worship center, they envisioned a Memory Garden, Columbarium and Labyrinth spaces all linked with winding pathways. Madisen Maher Architect’s design solution featured minimalist columns supporting fabric sunshade sails to shield worshipers from direct sun, along with sloped seating for an intimate worship experience.
