Burkhart Construction Corporation had long shared offices with another firm and sought to establish their own professional identity by constructing a building that met current and future business needs. Madisen Maher Architects was hired to design their building utilizing a simple plan with private offices around the perimeter and service spaces in the core area.
The owner had an affinity for Mission style design which features clean lines, simple forms and a high level of craftsmanship. Exterior massing emphasizes the horizontal plane, and interior spaces are crafted with Mission style millwork in quarter sawn oak to highlight the aesthetics of the architectural style.
