The Alexian Village Health Care Center procured a license to expand their existing skilled nursing facility by 13 beds. The 8,300 sq. ft. design incorporates similar materials and massing, however establishes its own identity from the main facility built 20 years earlier. The design solution included complex project phasing to keep the main entry open during construction. A tight schedule and budget were maintained during construction, a testament to the value of establishing a strong, effective owner/architect/general contractor team early in the design process.
