MMA accepts Historic Restoration Award from Wisconsin Historical Society

Madisen Maher Architects is proud to accept its Historic Restoration Award from the Wisconsin Historical Society for The Historic Beam House at River Place Lofts.   MMA of Milwaukee, Wisconsin received the 2017 Historic Restoration Award from the Wisconsin Historical Society for successfully converting the four buildings that comprise River Place Lofts-The Historic Beam House into a 64-unit apartment complex.
These four buildings were originally constructed between 1871 and 1874 for use in the tanning process.  Subsequently, the buildings stood vacant for many years and were heavily damaged by fire in 2001.

MMA announces Mayor’s Design Award for Sendik’s Corporate Office

Madisen Maher Architects is proud to announce its Mayor’s Design Award from the City of Milwaukee for Sendik’s Food Market – Corporate Office.  “The facility is located in an early 90’s industrial park, where a major renovation of the office wing was required to meet today’s standards for collaborative workspace,” states Ryan Thomas, Project Manager.  “Sendik’s wanted a central location to their Greater Milwaukee-based operations and the investment they have made in the community has helped improve the area,” he adds.  The 30,000 square foot facility is located at 7284 W. Marcia Rd. in Milwaukee.

MMA congratulates Standard Electric Supply Co. on new facility completion

Madisen Maher Architects congratulates client Standard Electric Supply Co. on completion of its new $4 million office and warehouse headquarters in the Menomonee Valley.  The company celebrated during its first cookout at the new facility.  “This allows us the space to double our size and ensures that we can stay here and do business in the city of Milwaukee for years to come,” said Larry Stern, Standard Electric Supply president.
The city sold Standard Electric 1.5 acres of land east of its old building at 222 N. Emmber Lane for the expansion.  Standard Electric Supply Co. has been doing business in Milwaukee for 97 years.

Sendik’s Food Market unveils West Milwaukee store by MMA

Sendik’s Food Market is proud to unveil its West Milwaukee store designed by Madisen Maher Architects.  Located at 1740 Miller Park Way, the store comprises 42,000 square feet of space and employs 140 people.  Some of the departments include bakery, cheese, deli, grocery, floral & gift, meat, produce, seafood, wine and spirits.
The 4.6-acre site anchors Whitefish Bay-based Sendik’s Food Market, along with a 16,000 square-foot Goodwill Store and an Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill.
“We are excited about our clients’ ability to serve the West Milwaukee community,” says Ryan Thomas, project manager at MMA.
